We will have two early bird live Facebook drawings to determine line order for team check in. First drawing will be Monday April 3rd and second will be Monday May 1st. All teams signed up from March 1st (when online entry starts) to March 31st at midnight will be put in a bucket and teams will be drawn at random to determine order of take off. Teams entered from April 1 to April 30 at midnight will go through same procedure. These teams will proceed the last team drawn from the first go round(ex: if there are 25 artificial teams drawn in the first drawing, the second drawing will begin with team 26) beginning may 1st teams that enter online will automatically be given a check in number that proceeds the last number from the early bird drawings. If you want to be one of the first teams to take off Saturday morning, it is essential that you sign up early.
Tournament Registation begins March 1st
On March 1st you will be able to register for the 2017 torunament. Updated rules will also be avalable at that time.
Announcing the 10th Annual Texas Trio Classic!
This years tournament will be June 9-10. Be sure and mark your calendars! It's our 10th annual and we want to make it the best one yet!
Waterloo Rods supports the Wounded Warior Classic!
The Texas trio team would like to thank Jimmy at Waterloo rods for his help for the wounded warrior classic. With his help, each of the vets will be fishing with a new Waterloo spinning rod during the tournament and also get to take it home with them. 2nd Annual Wounded Warrior Classic
We are excited to announce our 2nd Annual Wounded Warrior Classic which will be held at the Matagorda Harbor and Pavilion on Saturday October 8th this year. We had the honor of hosting 15 of our nations finest vets last year. This year we will once again be hooking up with The Wounded Warrior Project along with Run N Gun Adventures to host 20 veterans. Last year was such an amazing experience and we are very much looking forward to it again. We met a lot of great guys last year who we still keep in touch with and are looking to do the same this year. Last year being our first year to do this we did not know what to expect. We can honestly say that we were blown away with these great men that have protected our freedom. This event is becoming one of our favorite things that we have had the opportunity to do. The amount of great people and companies in the Matagorda County and surrounding areas that have stepped forward to help us is nothing short of amazing. We feel as though putting on this event is the absolute least that we can do for these guys. We will never be able to pay them back for what they have given us but we will damn sure do the best we can. We ask that you come out and show some support as these heroes of this great country weigh their fish in. We had an absolute ball last year and to say that we are looking forward it again would be an understatement. We will keep you updated as the event gets closer.
