"The Texas Trio Classic has two simple goals. Fish For A Cure and host the best inshore fishing tournament in the state".

Over past several years the tournament has donated to many charities including the Matagorda Wellness Foundation, American Cancer Society (Matagorda County Branch), various non-profit organizations and people in Matagorda County. Because of your support The Trio Classic is one of the largest bay fishing tournaments on the Texas Gulf Coast.

The growth of this tournament is amazing. We started in 2007 with 19 teams and a dream. Last year's 8th annual event brought 98 teams and together we raised over $55,000. With new goals in 2016, we do not plan on slowing down anytime soon.

2016 Registration Is Now Open and Calcutta Insurance Changes

You can register your team online or by mail, using our printable form.  Remember there are only 50 spots available for each division.  We recommend registering early to avoid missing out and getting a chance to win our early entry giveaway.

Please note we have one change on Calcutta insurance this year, you have one of three choices:
No insurance-100% of team is auctioned off

1. $100 for 25%-other 75% is auctioned off
    
2. $500 for 50%- other 50% is auctioned off.

You must pick one and one only, you can't buy the 50% and 25% for $600

We are excited to announce our Friday night Calcutta will now be called the Full Stringer Calcutta. Full Stringer Rentals have always been a great supporter of the Trio and this year they have stepped up and made a significant donation to help the tournament. If you are looking for a rental property for the tournament, they are the ones to hook you up.
