Texas Trio Classic Pre-lim Rules

- Entry forms due 6:30AM morning of tournament at check-in table
- All teams must check in, in person, the morning of tournament at Russell’s Bait & Tackle with a tournament director. Check in window opens at 5AM.
- $150 per team minimum: $50 extra per person over 3 people, maximum 5 on a team.
- Discount on entry of $25 per team if payment mailed before Thurs 7/24/08.
- Cash only will be accepted the day of the tournament. Early entries can be mailed and paid by check – must be postmarked by 7/24. You will receive a call from tournament director upon receipt of mailed entry. If you mail in early entry and have not received a call by 7/30, contact tournament director.
- All entry fees refundable upon weather cancellation.
- All individuals must be paid team members to be eligible for $1000 cash individual “biggest trout” prize.
- All teams must be paid teams to be eligible to compete in the side pot.
- If a fishing guide is used the fish caught by the guide cannot be used unless guide is paid member of team.
- Teams do not need boat access to enter tournament.
- Artificial or live bait may be used.
- All fish must be caught on rod and reel.
- All fish in tournament must be legal size (no oversized (tagged) redfish).
- All fish to be weighed in must be caught after teams leave from harbor on morning of Texas Trio Classic.
- No fish may be accepted from or given to another team.
- Weighmaster and tournament directors have final decision on validity of fish.
- Fish used in individual “biggest trout” competition can be used in “Texas Trio” competition.
- Fish used in individual “biggest trout” competition and “Texas Trio” competition can be used in “side pot”
- “side pot” : only two trout over 25”
- Weigh in is 2-4PM in at Russell’s Bait and Tackle. All teams must be in the harbor at 4PM.
- Sponsors, organizers, and other entities involved in the Texas Trio Classic are not responsible for any accident or injury, nor loss, damage, or theft to any property.

Individual $1000 Biggest Trout
The person in the tournament who catches the biggest trout will receive $1000!
Biggest is most weight – In case of tie length of trout will break tie
Texas Trio Classic
The team will weigh one trout, one redfish, and one flounder. The team must have all three to compete. Most weight wins. Top three places pay.
First – 40% total entries
Second - 20% total entries
Third - 10% total entries
Tie Breaker: In case of weight tie, combine length of all fish will break tie
Optional Side Pot
Up to three trout (only 2 over 25”) and up to two redfish. Most weight wins. Winner takes all!
